T-man competed in his first high school state chess tournament Valentine's Day weekend in Chicago. The team took 23rd in the state. Their record at the state tournament was 5 and 2. They took first place in the Class 2A division. Last year the team tied for second in the state with a state tournament record of 6 and 1.
